Together with Ogilvy NY we made a mind-blowing augmented reality installation for FM Global, a leading property insurance company in the USA. We were asked to create an innovative risk management technology, which would attract the attention of 11 thousand guests of RIMS – the biggest insurance event in the country. We were hooked from the beginning.

FM Global was one of almost 400 hundred exhibitors taking part in a renowned annual insurance convention in the USA. The company sought the way to stand out from the crowd, but they didn’t want to take a shortcut.

Our job was to deliver an AR installation which integrated physical booth and software for real-world thrilling experience – an earthquake! The goal was to engage as many passers-by as possible and make others much more aware of what the company had to offer. Simulation of an earthquake was created using photo references we gathered from the main hall of Henry Ford Convention Center in San Antonio. Based on that, we have completely re-created the space in 3D.

Using complex 3D simulation techniques, we generated a hyper-real earthquake in the middle of the convention hall! What were the results? FM Global hit the jackpot and was the most talked about the company during RIMS proving that using new technologies is an excellent idea for every industry.
