Lenovo never stands still. Over the past couple of years, the tech giant purchased Motorola’s smartphones from Google, rebranded, and added other new products — all with a minimum of fuss. So, when we got the chance to help Lenovo and our friends at Ogilvy New York to express the essence of this global brand, we were thrilled.

The colorful visuals and bursting logo exclaim rejuvenation and rebirth of creativity. A variety of tricky-to-work-with materials, several cameras shooting at different speeds, and lots of patience went into creating this piece for Lenovo. We have chosen a traditional way, no CGI in this piece!

“I first went to Ars Thanea a few years ago for their CG animation. Their techniques and storytelling are impeccable, crafted and easily on par with any firm in the US. But what has kept me coming back, year after year, client and client, is the way they go beyond CG into new, more breakthrough visual thinking. I didn’t ask them to combine sculpture, Phantom cameras, ferrofluid and motion control, or to animate and shape live-growing plants into time-lapse sculptures. They partner, they listen— and then they take you somewhere new. This is their true value, from concept to execution. They’re your secret weapon. And I love bringing my clients in. The experience is so positive and creatively energizing for the relationship— it always leads to more, great work.”
